Four two-hour conversations were held between members of the Vision Project Planning Team and secondary school students enrolled in four school districts in Georgia. Students attending Jefferson County High School were in conversation with members of the Planning Team on Thursday, August 12; the superintendent’s student advisory council composed of a student from each Muscogee County School District high school met with team members on Tuesday, August 17; the superintendent’s student advisory council composed of a student from each Fulton County School District high school met with team members on Wednesday, August 18; and students enrolled in Wayne County High School met with team members on Thursday, August 19. A total of 60 high school students in grades 9-12 engaged in the conversations. The students selected to participate in the conversations were, generally, high-achieving students and thus would not likely represent the views of all students. Below is a list of several of the questions posed by the planning team and a summary of the responses given by the students.
